Little Nature Explorers series
The Little Nature Explorers series of children’s books is all about encouraging children to get outside and explore our beautiful and amazing natural world. Nature is accessible to all children whether they are peering under a stone in a town back yard, lifting up leaves in a park, digging around in their garden soil or rummaging in a hedgerow whilst out for a walk. All our little bugs, insects and minibeasts often go unnoticed but they are incredibly important for the ecosystem and fascinating too. It is so important for children to recognise nature’s value from a young age and all the fresh air and outdoor activities have a great health benefit too. As well as the minibeasts, the books are packed with detailed illustrations of wildflowers and other plants. The books are educational and cover many interesting concepts such as camouflage, hibernation, life cycles, predators and food chains, seasons, the weather and different habitats. Look carefully and there are many interesting ideas beyond just the text in the books, which make great discussion points. The index provides all the information needed to name all the plants and creatures and the ladybird to spot on every page creates lots of fun.
